Las perturbaciones en el nivel de transmisi\u00f3n, como fallas en la l\u00ednea y el bus, pueden afectar negativamente el perfil de voltaje en vastas regiones de la interconexi\u00f3n occidental, y estos voltajes se propagan hacia abajo a la distribuci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>As shown, the voltage sag is greatest near the fault, but the area of potential impact is considerably larger, thus leading to an interest in the reaction of DERs to these faults. These transmission-level faults might generate adverse voltages on the terminals of many DERs, which might or might not trip of\ufb02ine depending on implemented ride-through criteria.
