Sin embargo, no se conocen bien las caracter\u00edsticas espec\u00edficas de la EE y la RD que pueden integrarse mejor, la interacci\u00f3n entre los cambios en el potencial de los recursos de EE y RD, y los impactos resultantes en el sistema de la empresa. Cuantificamos el impacto de la EE y la RD, de forma aislada y combinada, en los costes y las emisiones del sistema el\u00e9ctrico, bas\u00e1ndonos en los cambios en la expansi\u00f3n de la generaci\u00f3n, la expansi\u00f3n de la transmisi\u00f3n y los patrones de despacho.<\/p><p>The study methodology mimics utility resource planning and uses more novel techniques to select least-cost generation and transmission capacity from supply-and demand-side resources, as compared to more commonly used utility approaches that only consider supply-side resources. The results identify key EE and DR characteristics affecting each other\u2019s power system value and the most valuable technologies and strategies that can be jointly deployed.
