In the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), buildings account for close to a quarter of the region\u2019s total final energy consumption and energy-related CO2\u00a0emissions. With continued economic development,\u00a0urbanisation\u00a0and population growth across the region, the International Energy Agency\u2019s (IEA) analysis shows that both final energy consumption and CO2\u00a0emissions in buildings will continue to grow without ambitious policy actions.
