Fue implementado por Energy Saving Trust, co-secretar\u00eda de Efficiency for Access, junto con Engineers Without Borders UK, como parte del programa Low Energy Inclusive Appliances, financiado por IKEA Foundation y el gobierno del Reino Unido mediante Transforming Energy Access. Su prop\u00f3sito fue fortalecer capacidades para afrontar desaf\u00edos de acceso a energ\u00eda, promover innovaci\u00f3n aplicada y preparar una nueva generaci\u00f3n de profesionales para el sector de energ\u00eda limpia.<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">La escala alcanzada muestra un crecimiento sostenido. En seis a\u00f1os participaron 691 estudiantes de 42 universidades y 18 pa\u00edses, con 74 % provenientes de pa\u00edses de ingresos bajos y medios. La participaci\u00f3n aument\u00f3 desde 70 estudiantes en nueve universidades durante el primer a\u00f1o hasta 143 estudiantes en 18 universidades durante el sexto a\u00f1o. La presencia de estudiantes de \u00c1frica subsahariana creci\u00f3 cinco veces y la proporci\u00f3n de participantes de pa\u00edses de ingresos bajos y medios pas\u00f3 de 39 % a 90 %. Las disciplinas dominantes fueron ingenier\u00eda mec\u00e1nica e ingenier\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica, aunque tambi\u00e9n participaron perfiles de dise\u00f1o de producto, computaci\u00f3n, negocios y ciencias ambientales. La participaci\u00f3n femenina lleg\u00f3 a 29 %, un valor cercano al 32 % reportado para empleos de tiempo completo ocupados por mujeres en energ\u00edas renovables, aunque los esfuerzos con mentor\u00edas femeninas, seminarios enfocados en g\u00e9nero y m\u00e9tricas espec\u00edficas no lograron elevar proporcionalmente ese resultado.<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">Los impactos m\u00e1s s\u00f3lidos se concentran en habilidades y trayectorias profesionales. Entre personas egresadas encuestadas, 100 % aplic\u00f3 al menos una habilidad desarrollada en estudios, emprendimientos o empleo. Las capacidades m\u00e1s utilizadas fueron trabajo en equipo y colaboraci\u00f3n, con 87 %; comunicaci\u00f3n y presentaciones, con 78 %; habilidades t\u00e9cnicas, con 73 %; gesti\u00f3n de proyectos, con 71 %; y dise\u00f1o inclusivo, con 54 %. El 90 % se encuentra en empleo, autoempleo o formaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica, y 68 % trabaja o estudia en energ\u00eda limpia. Dentro de ese grupo, 85 % afirm\u00f3 que la experiencia influy\u00f3 en su decisi\u00f3n de carrera. Tambi\u00e9n se registr\u00f3 una orientaci\u00f3n hacia pr\u00e1cticas, aprendizajes profesionales y emprendimientos, con 23 % realizando pasant\u00edas o aprendizajes en energ\u00eda limpia y 36 % en autoempleo o desarrollo de negocios propios.<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">La combinaci\u00f3n de aprendizaje aplicado, mentor\u00eda, seminarios t\u00e9cnicos, interacci\u00f3n con pares internacionales y prototipado fue determinante para convertir conceptos de aula en soluciones de uso real. Los equipos recibieron acompa\u00f1amiento de profesionales, participaron en sesiones sobre acceso a energ\u00eda, sostenibilidad y dise\u00f1o inclusivo, y pudieron solicitar financiaci\u00f3n para prototipos entre \u00a31.000 y \u00a31.500, seg\u00fan el a\u00f1o. En total, se asignaron \u00a394.000 a 109 equipos para prototipos. Adem\u00e1s, 27 equipos avanzaron ideas mediante el Accelerator Programme y 14 recibieron financiaci\u00f3n presemilla. Entre los desarrollos posteriores se incluyen una c\u00e1mara fr\u00eda solar de la University of Rwanda, un sistema de tratamiento de agua con UV-C solar de Gulu University que atiende a 2.500 escolares rurales en Uganda y un sistema de riego inteligente probado con productores de guayaba en India.<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">Los efectos institucionales tambi\u00e9n fueron relevantes. Algunas universidades incorporaron aprendizaje basado en proyectos, fortalecieron v\u00ednculos con mentores industriales y ajustaron curr\u00edculos hacia metodolog\u00edas m\u00e1s aplicadas y conectadas con comunidades. En Aston University, los retos de dise\u00f1o pasaron a integrarse en el primer a\u00f1o de toda la Faculty of Engineering, con 1.500 estudiantes. En Strathmore University, la participaci\u00f3n reforz\u00f3 la relaci\u00f3n con comunidades y promovi\u00f3 proyectos que se originan en necesidades locales y regresan como soluciones aplicadas. Las barreras para ingresar y progresar en energ\u00eda limpia siguen siendo estructurales. Se identificaron empleos de entrada insuficientes, baja visibilidad de oportunidades, entornos pol\u00edticos d\u00e9biles, brechas de experiencia pr\u00e1ctica y software, altos costos de equipos, escaso capital para emprendimientos, costos de formaci\u00f3n especializada, concentraci\u00f3n urbana de empleos, obst\u00e1culos persistentes de g\u00e9nero y falta de redes profesionales. Su mayor contribuci\u00f3n se concentr\u00f3 en el desarrollo de capacidades t\u00e9cnicas, profesionales e inclusivas, as\u00ed como en trayectorias hacia empleo, emprendimiento o formaci\u00f3n avanzada en energ\u00eda limpia. Entre las personas egresadas encuestadas, 100 % aplic\u00f3 al menos una habilidad adquirida, 68 % trabaja o estudia en el sector de energ\u00eda limpia y 88 % se encuentra en empleo, autoempleo o educaci\u00f3n adicional. Tambi\u00e9n se identificaron efectos institucionales en universidades, con mayor adopci\u00f3n de aprendizaje basado en proyectos, v\u00ednculos con mentores industriales y cambios curriculares. Persisten barreras sist\u00e9micas relacionadas con escasez de empleos de entrada, brechas de experiencia pr\u00e1ctica, limitaciones financieras, desigualdades geogr\u00e1ficas, obst\u00e1culos de g\u00e9nero y redes profesionales
