Most enterprises are already using cloud computing as a business platform to drive revenue growth and innovation. Specifically, a global IBM Institute for Business Value study found that more than three quarters of survey respondents are using cloud computing to expand into new industries.

As a result, it’s not surprising that many enterprises have yet to trust most of their mission critical applications and sensitive data to the cloud.
But, if enterprises are not willing to move their most important processes to the cloud, they cannot hope to compete with escalating market expectations that might be better served by born-on-the-cloud competitors or leading-edge cloud adopters.
